Palatine Township and The Lions Club will host a Textile Recycling event on Saturday April 20 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at 721 S Quentin Road, Palatine.
- All Palatine Township residents are welcome to participate
- Enter via Illinois Avenue and exit via Quentin Road
- Your Items will be sorted, recycled, and repurposed
Acceptable Items for Textile Recycling Collection:
- All Men’s, Women’s & Children’s Clothing – All Sizes
- Coats & Jackets
- Bedding & Linens (Sheets/Comforters/Pillowcases/Blankets/Pillows)
- Towels, Wash Cloths & Tub Mats
- Table Linens & Cloth Napkins
- Socks (single or in pairs)
- Hats & Gloves
- Undergarments & Bras
- Shoes, Sandals & Slippers (in pairs only)
- Pet beds and sleeping bags
- Handbags & Purses
- Fashion Accessories, Belts & Ties
- Stuffed Animals
- Books & Toys
- Kitchenware & Tools
- Drapes/Curtains
Items that will not be accepted:
- Appliances, Furniture, Tires, Paint, Carpeting, and Mattresses
- Traditional Recyclables (metal, glass, paper) and Hazardous Waste
- Wet or Badly Soiled Items
We reserve the right to refuse any items presented for donation.
