We are seeking skilled and compassionate professional individuals to join our team. The positions will provide administrative support to the General Assistance Department in Palatine Township and will work closely with bi-lingual clients.
The ideal candidates will enjoy helping the public as well as maintaining an efficient office environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- General Office Support including telephone support
- Client intake and prescreening including obtaining necessary client documentation
- Data entry and maintenance of GA supported programs and databases
- Establish and maintain files
- Research and prepare links to job openings, workshops resources and job fairs
- Maintain informational bulletin boards (jobs, resources, etc.)
- Position serves as a backup to other departments as needed
Special Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Knowledge of modern office procedures, methods and business communication required
- Proficiency in Microsoft office software (Word, Excel, & Outlook), databases, etc.
- Excellent customer service and organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Multilingual, Spanish, preferred
- Ability to lift 35 lbs. and stand for at least 30 minutes
The part-time positions work schedule is Monday through Friday up to 20 hours per week. Benefits include Flexible spending account and the opportunity to participate in 457(b) Deferred Compensation Plan.
Salary: $19.00-$20.00
