Office Assistant Administration Department

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate professional individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will enjoy helping the public as well as maintaining an efficient office environment.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Random drug test, background check
  • Special consideration will be given to multilingual candidates
  • Ability to lift 35 lbs and stand for prolonged periods of time

Credentials & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Knowledge of modern office procedures, methods and business communication
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, e-mail and the Internet is required
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Multilingual, Spanish preferred

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • General office support: telephone, appointments, correspondence, data entry
  • Assists Outreach Program donors with selections/drop-offs
  • Notarizing documents, processing applications, FOIA requests, and Voter Registration
  • Prepares draft annual holiday and meeting schedule
  • Maintains donor and recipient master list including donated amounts (check register)
  • Prepares and submits statistics for monthly Board Reports and for Township Newsletter
  • Maintains Gift Card log at direction of Administrator
  • Township Cemeteries: coordinates all facets of burials for Township cemeteries and maintains cemetery records and files
  • Website postings as directed

Salary:

  • From $19 Commensurate with experience

Benefits:

  • Full Time (35 hour per week) position
  • Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 4:00 pm
  • Benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, IMRF pension system and the opportunity to participate in 457(b) plan
