Event Calendar

Palatine Township and The Lions Club will host a Textile Recycling event on Saturday April 20 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at 721 S Quentin Road, Palatine.

• All Palatine Township residents are welcome to participate
• Enter via Illinois Avenue and exit via Quentin Road
• Your Items will be sorted, recycled, and repurposed

Acceptable Items for Textile Recycling Collection:

• All Men’s, Women’s & Children’s Clothing – All Sizes
• Coats & Jackets
• Bedding & Linens (Sheets/Comforters/Pillowcases/Blankets/Pillows)
• Towels, Wash Cloths & Tub Mats
• Table Linens & Cloth Napkins
• Socks (single or in pairs)
• Hats & Gloves
• Undergarments & Bras
• Shoes, Sandals & Slippers (in pairs only)
• Pet beds and sleeping bags
• Handbags & Purses
• Fashion Accessories, Belts & Ties
• Stuffed Animals
• Books & Toys
• Kitchenware & Tools
• Drapes/Curtains

Items that will not be accepted:

• Appliances, Furniture, Tires, Paint, Carpeting, and Mattresses
• Traditional Recyclables (metal, glass, paper) and Hazardous Waste
• Wet or Badly Soiled Items

We reserve the right to refuse any items presented for donation.
