Presidential Election Day – November 5, 2024
Register to Vote
October 20, 2024 is the last day to register to vote online here – https://ova.elections.il.gov/
After the 20th, you may still register through Grace period registration, which extends the registration period by allowing voters to register to vote until the Monday before an election. Voters must register and vote in person at an Early Voting Site (location below). Two pieces of identification (one with a current address) are required to register.
Grace period registrants must immediately cast their ballot after registering to vote.
Early Voting Locations – October 21 – November 4, 2024
150 W. Wilson Street, Palatine, IL (previously the temporary Village Hall)
Hoffman Estates Village Hall 1900 Hassell Rd
(All early voting locations are open Mon-Sat 9:00 am-5:00 pm, Sun 10:00 am-4:00 pm)
A government-issued photo ID is not required, but is recommended should any questions arise.
Vote by Mail – October 31 2024 is the last day to request a ballot
Ballot must be postmarked no later than November 5
To complete an online mail ballot application, go to the Cook County Clerk’s website at mailvoting.cookcountyclerkil.gov
You will need:
- Driver’s license or state identification number
- Last four digits of your Social Security Number
- Address where you would like your ballot mailed
- Your email address
You will have the option of mailing your completed ballot or using a secure drop box at the Early Voting Sites noted above.
