A little background:  My husband and I have enjoyed living in Palatine since 2001, and raising our children here.  I work as a dental assistant and OSHA Compliance Manager in a neighboring suburb, earning my diploma and working in the field for almost thirty-five years. Here in town, I am an active parishioner and catechist at St. Theresa’s.  I’ve had the pleasure of serving on various local committees and groups through the years, but the highlight was my 11 years as Board Secretary of SALUTE, Inc., an incredible Palatine non-profit supporting military veterans and their families.

I am honored to be serving in my fifth term on the Palatine Township Board;  I started my first term as Trustee in 2005, and have served since as Clerk these last four terms.  My main Clerk duty is to draft accurate minutes of our Committee of the Whole and Board Meetings.  But my favorite work has been developing and directing two programs, the Blue Star Banner Program which allows me to get to know wonderful military families living within our township, and the Centenarian Program, which honors our 100+ year-olds in the Township.

It’s been my pleasure serving the people of this fine Township all these years, and I look forward to continuing to serve you throughout my term in office.

The Township Clerk’s main duty is to prepare and maintain the Township’s Board Meeting Minutes. S/He serves as the head Freedom of Information Officer for the Township. The Clerk serves as the Township’s Local Election Authority, working with Cook County. The Township Clerk also serves as clerk for the Road District. The Township and Road District Clerk position is assigned various duties which are not listed here, but detailed in IL State Statutes. The Palatine Township Clerk has no direct reports, but has a dotted line relationship with the Township Administrator, who has been designated as Deputy Clerk.
