Apple Tree Campaign “Kick Off”

At the 4th of July Parade on June 30th

Palatine Township’s Apple Tree Campaign is launching its 30th year!! The success of this program is attributed to the overwhelming support and generous donations. Because of you, backpacks full of donated school supplies are provided to underprivileged students so that they can start the school year prepared and ready to learn. Please bring your donation of new school supplies to the Hometown Fest 4th of July Parade June 30th where we will be collecting along the parade route.

Backpacks (medium and large sizes needed)* Index Cards (3X5 lined and 4X6 lined)
Backpacks ( character style ) Kleenex*
Ball Point Pens ( blue and red) Pencils #2
Binders (3 ring 1”, 2” and 3”)* Pencil Cases (plastic or vinyl zippered)
Colored Pencils Pencils-Twistable colored (12 and 30 count)
Colored Markers (thin and broad tip 8-10 count) Plastic Pocket Folders (with and without prongs)*
Crayons (8, 16, 24, 48 and 64 count packs) Rulers
Crayons Twistable-(24 count no minis) Scissors (7” pointed)
Erasers (rectangle pink) Spiral Notebooks (wide ruled)
Expo Markers (black, blue and red bullet and wide tip)* Sharpie Markers (black fine)*
Glue Sticks* White Glue (8 oz bottles)
Highlighters (blue, pink, green, and orange)*

Monetary donations to purchase school supplies are also appreciated.

Please make checks payable to Palatine Township Needy Family Fund and mail to Palatine Township, 721 S. Quentin Rd, Suite 101, Palatine, IL 60067.    (Please write Apple Tree in the memo part of your check.)

Donations may be dropped off during normal business hours at the following Palatine locations from July 2 through July 26, 2018.

Volunteers are needed July-August to deliver collection boxes and assist with supply pick up, sorting, packing, and distribution. School supplies will be distributed August 2-4.
